Opaline Hardtear + Crimson Bubbletear are the best combo for survival sadly one of it was can be obtain near endgame.
"i keep getting one shoot by bosses", raise your vigor also resistance matter so much in pve, most of enemy deal physical damage, always left one slot for Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman. and use specific elemental resistance for diffrent type of it.
Skill issue
You can still play normally after finishing the game once, doesnt need to be on the blind run.
Some attacks can't hit you at all if you use correct positioning (check a no roll vod if you'd like to see this in action).
Ground-based AoE's can be dodged by jumping. So can low sweep attacks.
If your weapon is fast enough, you may be able to attack a boss during it's combo. If you do, you deal bonus counter damage.
All enemies including bosses have an invisible fourth status bar, their stance (so do you). When this stance bar is depleted, they may enter a state where you can execute a critical attack. The stance bar refills constantly after an attack. To prevent refilling, use projectiles like throwing knives if you can't attack yet.
If you know what to go, you can one shot every single boss in the base game and the DLC with melee weapons only. That's 307 bosses. Magic = easy mode, please!
I won't go with cheeses, I know a lot of them and some are juicy.
Very useful against fast attacking enemies, enemies with longer reach melee weapon and enemies that track you midcombo (basicaly, everything Malenia and some other late game bosses use against the player).
Yes, the drawback is that you get less resistances to all types of damage, the pro is that you can actually avoid a lot of that damage you would not avoid with med weight.
It is possible to dodge everything using medweight (and I even saw someone on youtube dodge though everything Malenia has while fatrolling, I did not find the video but it is possible) but for sure light roll makes it easier to dodge stuff.
Jumping has longer iframes because your character loses the legs portion of its hitbox while midair.
Jump Attacks with the jump attacks talisman (Claw Talisman) deal extra damage.
Jump attacks with 2 weapons of the same type deals even more damage.
When using two weapons at the same time try to have both weapons with similar AR for better effectiveness of the extra damage.
Enjoy the cinematics and the awesome OST.
