just curious. i also love console emulation but i always thought it's pretty much piracy (even if many of the games are abandonware or unavailable for PC) yeah emulation by itself is legal but it always involves downloading rom files that typically only exist inside games that cost money... so how is steam allowing this? are all the roms available for purchase? do you need to provide some proof of ownership before downloading a game rom? nintendo didn't try to shut this down or sue?...

Me and a few friends play a lot of retroarch for eachother over discord. the other day, a friend of mine stopped being able to share his gameplay directly via discord, and now it's happening to me as well. Mind you, we've been playing games we've streamed before, using cores we've used before. I noticed I can get retroarch to stream when first launched, but loading a game, and thus having the window change to the new game, makes discord seem unable to recognize it as the window it's looking for.
