The 'Tricks N Treats' Playgrounds update is a FREE Halloween-themed set of items, available for all players on Steam. Also, rolling out today is our latest patch with more optimisations and improvements, including a major environment lighting update. The Playgrounds content and new patch will also come to Google Stadia at a later date.
We couldn’t wait to get into the Halloween spirit this year! Taking inspiration from all your favourite spooky scenes, classic horror setups, and gothic Victorian architecture, the Tricks N Treats pack is a bonus drop of free items for all Playgrounds users to design some truly devilish arenas.
Make sure to use our recently-added weather options for Playgrounds, like fog and rain, to make your arenas even more atmospheric. Don’t forget: Even if you’re not into creating Playgrounds, head to Discover to race on player-made maps using the new items… if you dare!
Today’s patch addresses other technical matters, including audio fixes, wheel support, Career objectives, crashes, and more. Full details are available on our website. Follow @dirtgame on Twitter and Instagram for more details on today’s update, and show us your creations and racing antics with the Tricks N Treats content by using the hashtag #DIRT5.

A pair of eye-catching off-road machines, purpose-built to overcome any terrain, are added to DIRT 5 in the Wild Spirits Content Pack. First up: the hotly-anticipated Ford Bronco Wildtrak 2021. 310bhp and 400 lb.-ft of torque, as well as innovative 4x4 and differential systems, make the new Bronco a perfect addition to take on DIRT 5’s extreme events. Its boxy chassis and huge tyres create an unforgettable look – and that’s before you customise it with liveries and patterns.
Alongside the Bronco is the Prodrive Hunter. Billed as a ‘Desert Hypercar’, the Hunter is a production version of the incredible Prodrive BRX, which has competed across Dakar and other events in 2021, with drivers including Sebastian Loeb. Powered by Ford’s 3.5-litre twin turbo V6 engine, producing around 500bhp, the Hunter has all the power you need to dominate DIRT 5’s global off-road events.
The Wild Spirits Content Pack for DIRT 5 also further expands our Career mode with another 25 bespoke events, in the ‘Wild Spirits’ bonus chapter. The new events will include chances to race our two new cars, multi-class races, dynamic weather events, and more unique experiences.
Both the Wild Spirits Content Pack and Update 6.00 launch simultaneously on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, followed by Google Stadia at a later date. Full patch notes for this update are available on our patch notes hub. Follow the official DIRT channels on Twitter and Instagram for gameplay of the new content and more.

A host of new items, achievements, and ways to play are added to the game in this huge update, with a combination of additions for Amplified/Year One Edition players, and free content for all players. All new additions come to Xbox, PlayStation and PC on July 20, followed by Google Stadia at a later date. Let’s take a closer look…
The first new circuits added to DIRT 5 since launch takes us to the beaches on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro, for some thrilling circuit-based racing through mud and sand!
These tracks, and their reverse variants, are available in Arcade mode with all customisable weather conditions. Both are used for multiple events in our new Career chapter and can be selected in Online private lobbies.
The Super Size Content Pack certainly lives up to its name, with four huge off-road machines ready to take on all terrain and all challengers. First up, our cover star: the Bentley Continental GT Ice Race Car. Don’t be fooled by the name – whilst this Ice Racer will indeed be right at home on sub-zero surfaces at New York, Norway, and Nepal, this 626bhp monster will tear up all surfaces in DIRT 5 on its 22-inch rims; a perfect blend of class and performance, taken to the extreme.
Whilst the Bentley joins the Rally GT class, the Armada Rock Racer is our second entry to DIRT 5’s monstrous Rock Bouncer class. This intimidating machine, with huge ridged tyres and minimal chassis, is built to take on our most dangerous terrain in point-to-point Path Finder events. For the Cross Raid class comes the Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport Baja Concept – The Atlas has the power and endurance to conquer any off-road challenge, being a souped-up race version of the already-mighty crossover VW.
Finally, a truly unique all-terrain option for your DIRT 5 garage: the Rezvani Tank. With its roots beginning with a Jeep Wrangler, the Rezvani takes everything up a notch: Power (500 bhp!), bodywork (bulletproof armour!) and insane ridged tyres. Head to the Pre-Runner class to try and tame the Tank.
Two more sponsors – Toblerone and Power Maxed – are available to sign for and earn exclusive rewards for, including liveries, by completing their objectives. More customisation items also arrive in the Super Size Content Pack, such as stickers, lanyards, and more patterns for custom liveries. The Super Size Content Pack is included in DIRT 5 Amplified Edition or Year One Edition. Owners of the Standard Edition can purchase the pack from digital stores.
Ever wanted to do donuts around a UFO crash site? Or weave between rocket ships at full throttle? Our latest Playgrounds update takes the action to another planet, with the Parts Unknown Playgrounds Update, free to all players!
Over in Playgrounds, we’ve also implemented more ways to compete and earn rewards, based on community feedback and requests. Look out for weekly events in the Featured area of the Discover menu, available for free to all players. Every seven days we’ll be bringing you a brand new challenge to take on against the world, with in-game rewards handed out based on your global leaderboard position at the end of the event. For the prolific Playgrounds creators, we’ll also be handing out more rewards for maps that are played and liked the most by our community.
More technical tweaks and improvements have been made across the board in Update 5.00. Five more Achievements will also be added. Full details will be shared on our patch notes hub before the update’s release. Follow the official DIRT channels on Twitter and Instagram for all details as this DIRT 5 expansion rolls out.
This announcement may change as we listen to community feedback and continue developing and evolving our Live Service & Content. We will always strive to keep our community as informed as possible.

Over in Playgrounds, the new DIRT 5 update will also add the iconic Red Bull arch, used across the globe in official events, for you to get creative with in Playgrounds. Use it to plot a path, drift around, and design your dream racing arena with.

The Red Bull Revolution Update is a free game update for all DIRT 5 players, which will be available to download from May 11 Steam. No additional purchase or entitlement is required; an internet connection will be required to download the update.

The Uproar Content Pack restores four of the most exciting and eye-catching machines from our previous extreme off-road title, DiRT Showdown.
The Jackson Adventurer (below), meanwhile, is a bigger beast for the Unlimited Class that’s low on the unnecessary extras and big on shock absorbers, suspension and speed for those big jumps. Finally, the Jackson Eulogy (second below) – the most unique of our latest cars, with an estate chassis decked out with custom details and performance upgrades, dropping into our Classic Rally class.
Each of the four cars will feature in a new thread of 25 Career events, available in the ‘Uproar’ option in Career. Every event either takes place at night or features dynamically changing weather that includes night racing, creating a fresh test of your nerve, reaction, and skill. The 25 events will take you across the globe in new race scenarios including New York, Nepal, Italy, and South Africa.
Let’s start with Playgrounds, where we’re keeping up the night-time theme with the After Dark Playgrounds Update! Another 20+ items will be added to the custom arena creator mode, all of which come to life at night. Look for bold colour palettes, fireworks, new variants of checkpoints, loops and jumps, and even a multi-coloured disco floor for Gymkhana spin zones! All players will have access to the items via a new tab in Create mode, and all players can take on Playgrounds featuring the new content in Discover mode.
Night-time options for Italy and Arizona will be added, along with the existing night conditions for Cape Town Stadium, to help make the most of the After Dark items. Get creative with these options and design incredible custom arenas that bring the night to life.
